Realitatea-Caţavencu is a group of private companies founded in 2001 which brought a new standard of professionalism in journalism and television through a wide portfolio which includes Realitatea TV – news channel, The Money Channel – first Romanian business channel, and Academia Caţavencu – the most popular Romanian publication of political satire and other topics.
Due to the acquisition, in 2006, of one of the most successful Romanian press companies, the group faced a major challenge: they needed to optimize and accelerate the distribution process and to shorten the sales cycle, in order to keep satisfying the clients’ needs and to keep their reputation as a reliable, trustworthy partner.
For an important company like Realitatea-Caţavencu, the challenge of maintaining its own standards was directly proportional to its development plans.
The first step in implementing SDnet was to develop a detailed study about the activity of the current distribution department in order to determine the exact position of the company on the market and to establish the SDnet feasibility with the system.
The next step was to develop a comprehensive implementation plan, which would satisfy all the demands of the distribution department in terms of client satisfaction, resources economy, etc. SDnet was customized in order to offer specific solutions for all the group’s needs.
The solution was successfully implemented and eliminated all the existing problems, not only in the distribution department, but also in the accountancy and production management departments. The collaboration between SDnet and Realitatea-Caţavencu will continue with the implementation of a specific Contractors Module, which will contribute to the group’s evolution.
